I'm Tom Hillmann, a CFA Charterholder with over 15 years of experience building financial models and systems for major investment firms.

My career began at 3i Group, where I designed strategic planning models for their €5bn Private Equity portfolio - models that provided the foundation for critical board decisions at this FTSE 100 company. I then spent seven years at Hermes GPE as Head of Portfolio Analytics and Risk, where I managed quarterly valuations for over 300 investments across a £5bn+ portfolio and regularly presented to some of the world's largest pension funds and asset managers. Throughout my institutional experience, I've specialized in creating complex yet user-friendly financial models, from Monte Carlo risk simulations to fund forecasting tools.

Today, I work with startups to build comprehensive financial models for business planning, fundraising, and grant applications. My focus is on creating transparent, professional models that founders can confidently present to investors and easily maintain as their business grows.

I hold a Master's in Economics from the University of Nottingham and a Master's in Chemistry from the University of Edinburgh.

Based in Edinburgh, I help startups across Scotland and the UK create professional financial projections.
